About the Artist
In 2005, she moved to Chicago, Illinois to pursue her interest in filmmaking at Columbia College where she worked towards a Master of Fine Arts in Film and Video.  While enrolled at Columbia College, Nicole wrote, directed, and edited several short films of types ranging from narrative, to documentary, to experimental.  She also worked alongside fellow students and faculty assisting in a variety of on-set crew roles as well as in post production as an editor and colorist.

After completing her coursework in 2008, Nicole moved back to her home town of Atlanta eager to break in to the local film and video scene.  She currently works at Guillotine Post as an editor/administrative assistant and continues to develop new film projects on the side while two of her films, Stay with Me and Elevator make the festival rounds.  She recently completed her latest film, Ten Questions for My Mother, as well as her MFA degree.  Keep an eye out for Ten Questions for My Mother later this year at a festival near you!

Nicole began her creative streak as an actress.  She attended Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia where she performed in university productions while pursuing a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Theater Studies and English.  During her time as an undergraduate,  she began writing and directing plays of her own, and, after completing her first full-length drama, she graduated from Emory University in 2002 Summa Cum Laude with highest honors in Theater Studies.
